Sport people with environmental awareness.

Plogging is a sports initiative that involves the waste pickup with the purpose of taking care of the environmemt and generating social awareness. It is practised daily by more than 20,000 runners in 100 countries. Plogging combines cardiovascular exercise and mobility and it is possible to burn over 300 calories in just half an hour.

Young voices facing climate change challenges.

Plogging is a good educational tool to have healthy and sustainable habits. It is promoted by many schools around the world as a transversal activity that allows students to be aware of the environment, do sports, do recycling and reusing packaging, and finally encourage students and their social circle to be more respectful with the natural environment.

The new economics linked to health and

More and more companies are concerned about the environment and are working on sustainability as a new focus to incorporate into their business, for example companies that promote new types of packaging, that reduce or eliminate plastic from the production chain, and some even cooperate with civic initiatives that promote plogging.

Administration and environment.

Aldermen, mayors… many political leaders are joining and promoting the practice of Plogging. They do it as citizens, sportsmen, members of entities and they are a good example for society. From Bcn Plogging Congress we want to know which initiatives are being carried out from different levels of administration.
